Events at Revere Golf Club Wedding | Christy & Will: Succulents & Family
If there were only one pair of lovers left in the world, it would be Christy and Will. I had the pleasure of meeting them last year during the pandemic. We headed up to Mt. Charleston for a spring engagement session and now I can't believe that their wedding has come and gone so fast!
In twelve years of photographing weddings, this is my first that had a succulent theme and I'm obsessed. First off the colors are spot on and secondly they are such a unique detail that is desert yet still elegant. I mean lavender, green, and ivory is such a lovely color palette. Also, even though we ended up running a little behind, like most weddings do, we got to shoot in the most amazing sunset light and then a dusk blue hour. Running behind was determined by someone from heaven so that we could capture that sky with their love.
I will always remember a key detail from their wedding, apart from the succulents, and that would be their family. I absolutely adored the bride's grandmother. It was so cute when Christy was telling me that I would know who she was by her bedazzled - everything lol. Also, scroll down and count how many siblings Will has! It was pretty awesome that restrictions were lifted recently so that so many family members could be present and celebrate with them. My favorite moment from their wedding occured during their ceremony. They combined religious traditions like blowing the shofar horn and then having a moment in which both families came together and circled around the couple in a blessing. Pretty much everyone was in tears and it was a magical to behold.

Bride Review: "Sarah was an irreplaceable asset to our entire wedding experience. We packaged our wedding/engagement photoshoot with her, and I HIGHLY recommend doing this. The engagement shoot was so fun in Mt Charleston and there she taught us about posing. She is great at giving direction and also capturing our fun candid moments. My husband is not a fan of photos but he even had a good time with her. We had so many beautiful photos that it was hard to pick one for our save the dates. On the day of the wedding, she arrived with the best attitude that helped calm my nerves of running behind my own schedule. While I sat in a chair getting my hair done, she finished all her detail photos and set up the cutest area for "getting ready" photos with my family and bridesmaids. She also helped me get into my dress (as my mother has Parkinson's and was unable to zip me) but still left a button for my mom to pretend to close for a photo. That meant the world to me. At the wedding venue itself, she helped me corral my wedding party and made sure everyone looked amazing for photos. She worked great with our videographer, and had a great attitude the entire day. One of my biggest fears of running 1.5 hours behind my own schedule (oops...) was that we would not get all of the photos that I wanted with my large and complicated family, but she knocked out everything on my list! She worked amazing under pressure and our time crunch, and was able to roll with it with grace. Thank you for everything Sarah!"
