Las Vegas LDS Temple Wedding | Alex & Grace: Sunflowers & Lilacs
It was a privilege for me to capture this sweet spring wedding at the Las Vegas LDS Temple. Mainly because I've known the family since I was 12 but also, the mother of the bride is the one who inspired & helped me into wedding photography over a decade ago. I will always credit my start to this Christ like woman.
Can you believe the group shot below is completely made up of the bride's family? Not only did they attend but so much love was poured into every detail for her special day. I guess when you are the only girl with 3 brothers, the day truly becomes all about you lol. The bride's aunt created the gorgeous bouquets, her maid of honor truly was a makeup & hair artist with the her look, a long time family friend crafted her simply beautiful cake, & have you ever seen cuter little cousins for flower girls? Oh and huge shout out to her little cousin who performed on the harp for the processional/recessional during the ring ceremony!
The groom's family's deep heartwarming welcome to the new couple & the bride's family brought tears and smiles to all the guests. Throughout the entire day it was all about being blessed & being thankful for those blessings. It's a beautiful thing when two different family backgrounds join together to celebrate those differences & blend. It's a small world after all like they say.
Now if you are looking for some DYI backyard wedding inspiration, this couple crushed it! I love the look when the flowers look like they were just handpicked from a garden. My favorite part was the cookie bar however. What an interesting twist on offering a sweet treat at the reception & a unique favor for the couple's family & friends. Just as the whole day was, they kept the menu light and easy with a taco bar & the glass Coca-Cola bottles were a hit with all the littles.
Congrats on your "for time & all eternity" Alex & Grace.
