Private Home Wedding | Slate & Zoey: Vintage Details & Florals
Updated: Jan 25, 2021
All 2020 weddings were affected by Covid one way or another. However, Slate and Zoey did not let that stop their amazing wedding at a family's private home. I knew this wedding was going to be stunning because I have had the privilege of photographing two of Slate's older sisters' weddings (so I was prepared for the family's reputation when it comes to pretty details). Although I was well acquainted with the groom's family, I met the bride just a couple days prior to the wedding for their desert bridal session (keep scrolling after wedding pics). I fell in love with Zoey's sweet personality and instantly knew she would fit right in with her future in-laws. Other than the lace wedding dress, I had no idea that there would be so many precious vintage inspired touches to this wedding. My favorite was the elaborate desert bar and all the cookie and pastry options for the guests. Also, can I just send a huge shout out to the bride's aunt for the beyond gorgeous florals! That bouquet was one of Pinterest dreams!
Although it was typical Vegas hot in mid September, everyone danced the night away under the trees and white twinkle lights. The adorable flower girls were much happier kicking off their fancy shoes for post ceremony celebrations than they were walking down the aisle. Once the dance floor was officially opened, it was non-stop partying until the sparkler sendoff which ended with a firework hoo-rah as the couple drove away.

Sometimes in the LDS religion, couples will shoot a bridal session prior to their wedding. Not only do they do this to have images from a location different than the wedding venue, they also use these images as wedding decor. Slate & Zoey chose to shoot their bridals in the desert just outside of Las Vegas during an early morning session. I love the simplicity of the location mixed with Zoey's classic long sleeved lace dress & Slate's blue suit.
